| History |
Purchased for the Museum from Don Cook of Dowerin in 1984.
This machine was in fairly good condition as it was kept under cover. It had not worked
for a long time but started without any trouble.
The operator did not like too much sun because a wooden frame had been built over the
drivers seat and covered with the old style jute super bags that had been there for so
long that they blew away in the first breeze.
This tractor was used for wheat belt farming for plowing and for sowing crops. Also for
harvesting and baling hay. |
| Restoration |
The clutch has been dismantled and the worn 6 drive keys have been repaired by welding
and grinding them smooth to allow the clutch plates to slide and release when disengaged.
The clutch has now been assembled and is OK. The exhaust muffler has also been repaired
which will make the engine quieter. |
