History This machine was found in the fork lift company yard in William St. Beckenham in 1980.
Investigation revealed that it was owned by a syndicate of 3 men, one of whom had passed on. The second party couldn't be found and finally in 1982 the third partner agreed to release this machine to Hugh so that restoration work could be started.
Restoration The general condition of the machine was found to be very poor it had a bent con rod, burnt out clutch and the big end was shot. Cylinder had to be resleeved and honed.
Restoration work was carried out professionally and included resleeving and reboring the cylinder, a new brass big end was made and fitted.
Once the machine was reassembled it was sand blasted and repainted to its original colours. Restoration was completed in 1994.
