| History |
The Champion was the first of a second generation of Chamberlain Tractors that started production in 1955.
The Champion gained notoriety in 1957 as 'Tail End Charlie' serving as a recovery vehicle in the Around Australia Mobilgas Trial. It assisted scores of rally competitors and towed damaged cars a total of more than 1600kms.
The tractor travelled 17,790 kms in 19 days over some of the roughest raods in Australia and was great promotion for the WA made tractor.

| Restoration |
This tractor was donated to the Tractor Museum by Mr Dave Bartlett of Karnup.
It's previous history is unknown but was in a neglected state with some components and panels missing.
The wide bench seat and option of a cab were innovations in their day.
